Our client is looking for a result driven and accountable Director of Licensing to manage their different properties and sales teams at their various locations (Europe and Middle East) and covering territories in India and Oceania, possibly at COO-level.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute growth strategies for their properties. Cultivate untapped markets and growth opportunities. Actively manage the brand image.
Solicit new deals for the different properties in various territories in EMEA, India, and Oceania either directly or in cooperation with agents.
Manage all sales and marketing processes as well as reporting cycles to Management: Interact with existing partners, seek new prospects, formalize sales from Deal Memo to contract in coordination with their Legal department, and throughout the life of the contracts.
Coordinate with various internal departments (Finance, Creative, Product Approval, Management and Royalty Department) and locations on a regular basis to ensure that each license contract complies with corporate requirements and reporting cycles.
Manage forecasts from Licensees and Agents for each territory or category and develop those into internal short-, medium- and long-term budgets and forecasts to take responsibility for the strategic direction; monitor sales progress against external and internal forecasts, adjusting, as needed, in coordination with Management.
Coordinate sales and marketing operations among their offices in Europe and the Middle-East.
Participate in the strategy development, implementation and execution of distribution plans (channel mix), brand and trade marketing plans and activities for different territories, agents and licensees in coordination with Marketing departments.
Take initiative to ensure business growth both quantitatively and qualitatively, in each category, country and IP.
Provide leadership and direction for multiple departments and functional areas. Manage professionals at manager, supervisor and professional levels. Support, encourage and develop staff.
Conduct analysis, as required, to ensure sustainable revenue development.
Travel, sometimes extensively, to various countries to monitor and stimulate the existing business, while initiating various new initiatives.
Conduct presentations and attend trade shows, as required.
Requirements
10+ years’ experience in the licensing business at executive level (preferably with Entertainment connection), with at least 5 years’ experience in managing sales teams.
University degree (BA) preferred (especially business or economics).
Highly disciplined and organized, growth oriented team player with high level of energy and accountability.
Excellent leadership competence.
Experienced and comfortable in contract negotiations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Well versed in business planning.
Managing international teams.
