Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 3 has surpassed Titanic at the UK’s box office making it the UK’s second highest grossing film of all time behind James Cameron’s Avatar.
According to the BBC, Toy Story 3 has now taken £70,131,106 overtaking Mamma Mia! and Titanic which brought in £69.2m and £69.02m respectively.
It still has quite a way to go to catch up with Avatar which brought in a massive £93.4m so far with Avatar: Special Edition still in cinemas.
Lee Unkrich’s (Director) Toy Story 3 recently joined the billion dollar club making it the seventh movie ever to gross over $1bn. This is all good news for the licensing industry with strong Xmas toy sales expected. Does anyone have any news about retailers commitment to buy-in’s?
