There's a lot of NEW and fresh creative on the scene at the moment, finding the right characters with a USP is of course the key. With so many people using social networking it actually makes sense for retailers to take a serious look at brands launched from a digital platform. For instance it is a fact that over the past two years more and more women (in particular young mums) are active on social networks. Retailers should be encouraged to look at who their target demographic is and where they are socialising or spending their leisuretime (it's not soley at the school gate or infront of the TV). Retailers should not underestimate the power of the Tweet, Blog or MySpacers! There's a whole consumer market waiting to be lured in! Finding a good design concept which has a strong digital and online following would be worth a serious consideration.
